[ sonofa-- this sounds like zero amounts of fun, he thinks, as he's reading the thread conversation.
he has about half a response written up, but then the scenery is rapidly shifting, and suddenly jack's standing in front of adrien, about to puke on the medical tent floor.
there is a deadpan stare shot to him, and jack's just going to go ahead and push send. ding ding, text. ]

This is a terrible ide
[ there was going to be an a and a period after that, and then a reason for why, but whatever, he's here now. he hasn't been in the medical tent much, and jack straightens to take a glance around, acutely aware of the fact there's no longer a huge steel rover pertecting him. ]
How secure is this area from the things in the sky? [ does he need to go find a turrent or something to defend this place? ]
[At least you got some warning, Jack. Adrien made the trip completely by surprise.
He was already elbow deep in a box of supplies, so would not get the text message until later. For now, Jack's question saw Adrien glancing around the tent and then shrugging.]
So far it hasn't been damaged and I don't think Neheda would have started to bring us here if there was an immediate threat. We'll have to go with that for now.
I need you to help coordinate supplies and transportation for any injured that require it.
[Adrien give Jack a grim, not quite smile and a shrug.]
But if you do happen to notice that we appear to be in danger, best drop everything and do what you can to neutralize any potential threats.
[ooc: There wouldn't be, per OOC notes Mother is protecting the medical tent/people in stasis but ICly they don't know that so Jack's concern is a good one!]
[ So the answer is we have no idea how secure we are. That's fantastic. There's nothing more dangerous but jeopardizing your entire medical staff - surely Mothership wouldn't be that stupid.
Still. ]
That's a big risk to take on faith. [ Jack's pulling the pistol from his side holster, checking it for being correctly loaded, and replaces it. It may end up needed. ]
I'll keep an eye out. Any specific instructions for which supplies to prioritize over others?
[ Are there some they're going to need tons of? Jack's never done this sort of thing as far as helping in a medical situation goes, but he can make a list of objectives and order them by importance. This isn't going to be an easy ride and he'd rather make sure, if time becomes compromised, he can have the best possible option ready. ]
[Adrien said simply. He could walk through the fact that the tent was still standing, that the stasis pods with some recruits in them were unscathed but this was a situation where Jack was going to have to take him on faith.
Orders.
Walking towards where boxes were piled neatly, Adrien shook his head in response to the question.]
We're pretty lean as it is. Rule of thumb is we'll need access to everything. [There is a brief pause during which he looks over a couple of boxes and amends his comment.]
Well, perhaps not the candles, deodorant and feminine hygiene products. Go ahead and push them towards the back for now but get the rest distributed.
[ so keeping the amount wasted down will be key here. he'll have to go get a count of everything they've got and how much. ]
We have more coming in to handle supplies, right?
[ because he's mostly just seeing medics around the tent now, but, as time goes by, more and more are popping in. The more hands the better. Jack won't be able to get supplies to everyone all by himself. ]
[ more muttered than said as loudly as it should be, were this a military operation. adrien's been at ease with him regardless, so he's not worried about that being insulting. it's mostly just exasperation.
this is gonna suuuuuuuck.
with that, jack's pulling himself together and making his way towards the supplies. wee, go time.]

[At lest until the dragons show up and Jack's expertise is needed elsewhere.]
Yell at me if you need anything.
